  1. cricfan says:

So wanderers gets games that are least likely to make money, Realy India Pakistan Should have been in wanderes since cricket Sa will have a good chance to make lots of money from there, im Sure Wanders will have to give up, no other unions are complaining or showing any support

  2. Shaun Custers says:

@Cricfan The ICC Champions Trophy is run by the ICC and not CSA, but I did hear that the better games, IE all the South African games have been taken away from The Wanderers as punishment, so all Protea’s games are at Centurion.

  3. Does that mean that the ICC are buying into the fact that the GCB are ‘guilty’ of something or don’t they have anything to do with who sets up the fixtures? The people of Jhb must boycott Centurion for the rest of the year, the only way to support transparency in sport is withour feet. STAY AWAY FROM CENTURION.

  4. cricfan says:

No finals for Wanderers or opening games, seriously Wanderers was shafted by Icc. We going to see the if 50 over cricket can pull crowds after all the excitment of Ipl.i would have atended if durbz had a game

  5. Shaun Custers says:

@Tweak, I think CSA decided on the venues for the games, but I wouldn’t call for a boycott that’s not really going to do anyone any good. CSA will have to re-instate the international games at The Wanderers they cant afford not to.

  6. Shaun Custers says:

@Cricfan I’ll be going, I think it’s going to be an awesome championship, we’re luck to get the worlds best players back in SA again.

  7. cricfan says:

@ shaun Custers I think Wanderers will have to go begging to CSA, since No cricket union shows any support for them

  8. I only mean that Johannesburg citizens shouldn’t make the trip to Pretoria. That would be defeating the object. They are the people who are being shafted by CSA and they are the people who must stay away from Centurion to make some sort of protest.CSA must realize that the cricketing public also have a voice.

  9. I still think it’s bull that Newlands won’t be getting any games

  10. What about us poor okes down in Durbz?????

  11. What about us in East London?

  12. South Africa got caught with their briefs down again, they need to change the selectors, its actually a disgrace everytime we are known as the chokers, our team is good, put more black players in the team. or get pieter de villiers as couch not mickey arthur.

  13. Yes, i agree totally, please get rid of Mickey Arthur and lets put Pieter De Villiers in, he might not know cricket, but he can sure win world cups, theres a lack of sub continent players and black players in the squad, what happend to change, theres still too many whites in the team and ntini and others sit on bench, change is what we need get rid of mickey and change the whole selection team,as they all dont know what they doing.

  14. Shaun Custers says:

    @Danny @Jack, Lolz guys… Peter de Villiers.

Let’s have some faith, maybe they boys will respond well.

  15. Thats the supidest comment I have ever read….I hope you guys were joking?! The team as it is now is incredibly strong, we’re coming off an off season (i.e. a break for those people who may not understand) and you expect us to come straight back in where we left off against Australia?! ps. Pieter De Villiers has never won a world cup, Jake White did
pps. Ntini has been great, but should have retired a season ago, he’s not the same bowler anymore.
ppps. Good young players like Lonwabe Tsotsobe are coming through in the ranks
pppps. Sub continent players? You want us to get players from India and Pakistan, we are South Africa?!

  16. u people make me sick. why does everything always got to do with colour so if u got a good player and hes white u want him to sit at home and let a bad playing black player play how stupid can u people be damit

  17. Shaun Custers says:

@Wessel, agreed there’s no place for politics and racism in sport.

Let’s stay on point, what’s your view on the T20 / ODI situation?

  18. Are all the matches going to be shown on SABC TV?

  19. Shaun Custers says:

@Sads I think it’s only the SA games.

  20. I cant understand, i got nothing against white players, but the minister of sport introduced a policy were black people are supposed to be playing cricket – Johan BOTHA is not black, Van Der Merwe is not black, half the team must be black atleast, i feel so bed, it was bad enough in the apartheid days, this is just the same. Mickey arthur is a mickey mouse. there had to be more blacks in the team and a black coach, something has to be done.

  21. yebo boetie. we are suffering with the sports…only rugby is doing good because of the coach. everytime we get to a final theres comments made about sa as being chockers, its so embarrising, i go to watch the semi at durban, and south africa lose bad, the whole team fall apart, yes..im not a racist but as obama says : change is what we need, and the change will come, shosholoza>>>

  22. Arthur Heffer says:

What does Malinga have in that right pocket of his? Seems Mendes may also have something there! Remember Atherton.

  23. Arthur Heffer says:

Just asking does the third umpire watch TV cameras between balls! Seems not. For the guys criticising Mickey and Graeme, please study the game fully before making inane comments.

  24. yo dude this is lank funny, we shud all be like gibbs and smoke some good stuff, one love one nation…

  25. Shaun Custers says:

@Arthur I think he has some balls in his pocket…

  26. What is the meaning of the number 200 under the England emblem on there shitrs and caps

  27. pakistan win this champion trophy

  28. Does anyone think our bowlers would have fared better at Wanderers??

  29. Shaun Custers says:

@Tweak, yeah I think so. The Wanderers is well known for it’s lively pitch.

Mickey Arthur thinks so ass well, read this article: Sport 24

Well done CSA, you cut your nose off to spite your face.

  30. Yoh, south africa is out man…im so disappointed, they have to change the coach, its about time, get rid of him, on the point of black players, yes, please put more of them in the team, i felt sorry for graham smith, he tried his best and got no support, he must still remain captain, get rid of albie, johan, rodelf, amala, boucher, gibbs, kallis. put bosman, tsolekele, and other black players in the team, give them a chance.

  31. I am ashamed at the south africa performance, you guys are right, please change the coach, he takes us nowhere, mickey arthur is a mickey mouse. get rid of amla, he cant see with his beard, also van der merve, botha, gibbs, boucher, morkel is also such a useless, bring back ntini, yes, leave smith as coach, he tries his best, put blacks, coloured and indian players in the team, give them a chance also, and make the team 60/40 black team. rest can be white

  32. Shaun Custers says:

To all you who have commented on the state of transformation in the Protea’s team. You are calling for the heads of the most experienced players in South Africa.

If you honestly think getting rid of the top tier of South African players is the answer, then you are sorely mistaken.

The problem with South Africa’s inability to deliver a trophy, is not the color of their skin. It’s the inability to perform under pressure.

There are enough politics in South African cricket causing all sorts of problems, why do we need to bring it to the fans? I ask that we please use SA Cricket Blog as a platform for lively cricket debate, not to air your own political views.

At the end of the day we all supporters of the same Proteas team and the great game of cricket.

  33. Hi, i think people are just frustrated with the situation of sa cricket, but you are right, no need to bring up political matters, neways, i see that england and new zealand are through..should be interesting, pakistan is still looking so dangerous, it looks as if it might go there way, i watched the pak vs ind game, it was good, india almost won until they started throwing wickets away, they also looked very wobbly. aus is looking good also, should be an interesting semi final…

  34. I’m so dissapointed in you guys using colour as an excuse, I’m black but I don’t see any reason for taking out experinced players becouse they perform verywell in the matches that they played but we are chokers we were lacking match fitness,I’m happy with some of the players except for Morkel,

  35. its not a matter of being black, orange or purple..we need some change in the team, no politics…we must comply with the minister of sports request.. which is to have more previously disadvantaged players in team. look at bafana bafana they are complying why cant others…

please refer to shaun custers comments..he is right in what he says also from a certain point of view

  36. Players must be selected based on perfomance not colour there is nothing wrong on the current players, lets support them.

  37. hi, no offence, but we’ve been losing all the time, how can you say, theres nothing wrong with team, it dont make any sense what you saying, I rather support my country then the current cricket team.

  38. West Indies vs India is looking good so far, but its most likely to go indias way, Aus and Pak – that was good bowling performance – Johnson works well, just needs more support from the bowlers.
New Zealands game was good, i think that England wanted to them to progress and not Sri Lanka.

    Any opions there anyone?

  39. Nosakhiwo says:

I still believe that there is nothing wrong with the current players, the problem is their mentality when it comes to cup matches.

  40. hey man, i think there is definately something wrong, why we keep losing, who do we blame???
if it happens in rugby or soccer, they change a few players, they need to consider the previously disadvantaged individuals of South Africa, there are kids in soweto who will never get opportunities bec the selectors pick talent from private schools, and its alwys family calls, albie brothers, kirstens, pollocks….i mean theres 40 million people in south africa, we have got talent, we not looking properly, i think its all the selectors, and the coach or couch, who need to be fired, for being so useless.

  41. Julius Tshaba says:

I have been looking for a site to chat about cricket…does anyone think Zimbabwe will ever come right and progress??

  42. Nosakhiwo says:

I don’t think so,its been a long time if they wanted to progress they would have done that already maybe two years back,or maybe we can look for their progress in next three or four years.

  43. What’s your opinion of this 40 over format of the game? i think it’s just absurd. Why fix something thats not broken. All they are doing is creating more lucky packet cricket & soon the finer skills in the game will be completely lost. Dont turn cricket into baseball simply because you want to make more money.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont kill the game we all know & love. We need to just promote the purer forms of the game better

  44. Julius Tshaba says:

never minde that – how is Johan Botha still in the team when he is throwing the ball, get rid of him…, put tshbalala in
