Hello All,

I was very impressed with South Africa against SRI Lanka,

Graeme Smith should be replaced by Colin Ingram,
he should open with Hashim Amla, Smith is wasting the tax payers money.

Colin Ingram should also replace Jacque Roedolf

Mark Boucher must retire and be replaced with Tsolikele.

Albie Morkel must be replaced with Loots Bosman

Jonathan Vandiar that Indian guy must also be put in team maybe he can replace Ashwell USELESS prince.

the bowlers are all good, even that spinner - Tahir- He is good

we have the coach and bowling couch assisting south africa now who were part of the 1999 disaster, i just hope we dont have disaster next world cup

Some brilliant individual performances: Kallis and Steyn were reliable as ever in their specialties. And AB was a great catalyst to get things moving quickly.
Good job.

I was really impressed by the performance of the Proteas against Sri Lanka in the first test, Vernon Philander is most impressing.

I think Dale Steyn should stay at current batting order instead of being brought in as Night watchman, that nightwatchmen story doesnt go to well with Proteas, Imran Tahir should move up 2 places in batting order.

Mark Boucher should be dropped a long time ago, Please replace with Tsolikele. Give him a chance atleast.

Jacque Roedolf must be taken out and replaced with Collin Ingram or
Neil Mckensie.

Bowling is now perfect and we have good selection

South Africa is the BEST 5 Day team in the world,
if only they can do well in other forms of the game

we await and see...

While it may well be true that, in your statement, Hashim may become South Africa's highest Test run collector by the end of his career, there is a Universe of difference between being the highest run getter, versus being the greatest batsman of that country.

To consider him in the same breath as Barry Richards or Graeme Pollock is bordering on extreme delusion.

You have forgotten to take into account, in terms of 'greatest batsman' from South Africa, the fact that Pollock's & Richard's Test career only had a finite lifespan due to the country being banned from international competition.

Barry Richards went on to unmatched heights in both English county cricket and Australian Sheffield cricket, and then dominated Kerry Packer's World Series cricket with the top batting averages and top scores for the World IX, against such luminaries as Greg Chappell, Majid Khan, Viv Richards, Zaheer Abbas etc etc.

While he may go on to attain the status of SA's most prolific test run getter, it would be a brave person indeed who would place him in the class of Richards or Pollock.

Quite simply, no SA bat before or after are in that rarified air, not Kallis, Ambla, Gibbs or any of them, and I do not believe I have ever seen a better batsman than Barry Richards. His dismantling of any bowling / fielding placed in front of him, including the best Australian and World attacks, when he was sufficiently motivated to do so, were beyond what people could imagine possible - he was THAT good.

I suggest you select Jacques Rudolph for the upcoming tours of Australia and Sri Lanka, the Proteas can win them with Rudolph unless you want to lose him the same way you lost Kevin Pietersen to England
